Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Next Horizon Leadership (“NHL,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use our website, the NHL Community platform, mobile apps, staff administration tools, and related communications (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to this Policy.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide and information generated as you use the Services:

• Account & profile: name, email addresses, account identifiers, title, company, LinkedIn URL, professional history, location, and interests you provide.
• Contact details: email addresses, postal or billing addresses, phone numbers, and professional contacts provided for membership, introductions, recruiting, or business administration.
• Community activity: posts, replies, direct messages, AI-assistant questions, feedback, RSVPs, preferences, and benchmark responses you submit.
• Candidate and staff records: résumés, uploaded documents and images, screening notes, correspondence, professional assessments, and verification reports used in authorized recruiting and staff workflows.
• Voice memos: audio and transcripts that authorized staff choose to record or submit after a screening conversation. This feature records the staff member’s own memo, not the candidate’s phone call.
• Financial records: compensation information, invoices, purchase and payment history, and related business records provided through authorized staff workflows.
• Technical data: IP addresses, approximate location inferred from network information, browser and device information, session or notification identifiers, searches, app interactions, and performance diagnostics.

Information collected depends on the features you use and your access level. Optional uploads, voice memos, contact details, and staff workflows are not required for ordinary member browsing. Account information is needed for sign-in, and technical information is processed to operate, secure, and improve the Services. We also receive relevant professional information from connected business systems, authorized service providers, and public professional sources.

How we use your information

• Operate, maintain, and personalize the Services and your membership.
• Facilitate introductions, events, and peer discussions you opt into.
• Send account, transactional, and (with your consent) event and community messages by email or text.
• Maintain security, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
• Support authorized recruiting, candidate screening, client service, and business administration.
• Provide AI-assisted answers, summaries, and recommendations using relevant submitted information.
• Understand feature use and performance, diagnose problems, and improve the Services.

SMS / text messaging

If you provide your mobile number and opt in, you consent to receive text messages from Next Horizon Leadership, which may include account and membership notices, event and session reminders, and community updates.

• Message frequency varies.
• Message and data rates may apply.
• Reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for help, or email privacy@nexthorizonleadership.com.
• Opting out of texts will not affect your ability to use the rest of the Services.

We do not sell or share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in/consent with any third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information won’t be shared with any third parties.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate the Services (for example, hosting, database, analytics, AI processing, recruiting and verification, business administration, email, and SMS delivery providers), bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations; when required by law; or with your direction (e.g., a warm introduction you request). As stated above, mobile opt-in information and SMS consent are excluded from any sharing.

Profile information and community contributions are visible according to the applicable directory, room, and membership permissions. Staff and candidate records are available to authorized personnel according to their roles. Connected email and business systems are used for the workflows enabled by authorized staff. A service provider processing information on our behalf may receive it even where an app store’s data disclosure excludes that transfer from its definition of third-party sharing.

Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, then for a reasonable period to meet legal, security, and record-keeping obligations.

Your choices & rights

You can delete your account in the app under Profile → Delete account. This removes your member profile, authored posts and replies, and account access. If other members have replied to a conversation you started, an empty message placeholder remains so their replies can still be read.

You may access or update your profile, opt out of texts (reply STOP) or marketing emails (use the unsubscribe link), and request access to or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. We will respond consistent with applicable law.

To request account deletion outside the app, email privacy@nexthorizonleadership.com from your account email address and ask to delete your Next Horizon Leadership account. To request deletion of specific information without closing your account, describe the records you want removed. We may verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

Deleting a member account does not automatically erase separate candidate, client, correspondence, or business records. Contact us to request deletion of those records. Information needed for legal, security, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes may be retained for the applicable obligation; backup copies may remain until their normal retention cycle ends. We will explain applicable retention limits when responding to your request.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit. We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

The Services are intended for business professionals and are not directed to anyone under 18.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Effective” date above and, where appropriate, by additional notice.
